Your Weekly Horoscopes: June 11 to 17, 2023

Still from Only Murders in the Building surrounded by blue atmosphere and stars.

This week is all about Mercury, which is to say it’s all about being in dialogue. On the 11th, Pluto retrogrades back into Capricorn where we have the chance to complete some unfinished business of the slow burn transformations that have been on tap since 2008. Probing questions lead the way as Mercury trines Pluto just before entering buzzy Gemini on the same day. Mercury trine Pluto is the true crime podcast of aspects: there’s potential for great influence and investigation under this transit.

Mercury is extremely articulate and charming in Gemini (Think: Mercury in Gemini natives Brian Cox, Cate Blanchett and the ultimate smooth-talking politician JFK) but runs into some roadblocks while squaring off with Saturn on the 15th. Processes that are usually quick, slow to a near-halt and frustrating as it may be, it’s best to wait it out. Then on the 17th, Mercury sextiles Venus: a friendly and fun-loving aspect great for asking favors, creating harmony and refining a strategic plan.

Aries (March 21 - April 19)

It’s back to the drawing board for you this week, Aries. Though you thought you had everything set up for the big meeting (or your sister’s surprise birthday or your quick road trip with your boyfriend), you get some last-minute information that changes everything. Try to remain calm instead of scrambling to the finish line. The less you try to control, the more this unfolds into a win.

This week’s mantra: “Patience.”

Cheeky illustration of a young non-binary person petting a bull.

Taurus (April 20 - May 20)

It’s time to get back in control of your own resources, Taurus. This spring has been all about learning to appreciate your own inner beauty and developing some even more expensive tastes for clothes and beauty products along the way! Now the challenge is to budget better and to have your spending support your long-term goals and dreams.

This week’s mantra: "Delicate.”

Cheeky illustration of identical twins with long dark hair and a statement earrings back-to-back, smirking at each other.

Gemini (May 21 - June 20)

You’ve been on a literal or figurative meditation retreat since April 3 when Mercury entered your unconscious sector for a very extended stay. But on the 11th, Mercury enters your sign and you get to reacquaint yourself with the messy reality of feeling your feelings and being in your body. Responsibilities feel heavy this week and you’re definitely feeling the urge to check out, but remember: you’ll finish faster if you remain present.

This week’s mantra: “Grounded.”

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)

You might feel like you’re floating through life this week: keeping your video off for every Zoom call, skipping out on happy hour and putting the group chat on “Do Not Disturb.” It’s an introspective time of the year for you as your solar season approaches and you wrap up your personal year. What can you let go of to make more space to thrive?

This week’s mantra: “Release.”

Cheeky illustration of a woman of Asian-descent wearing a sheer coral top with her hair half-up in pigtail puns, the rest down. She is hugging a lion, who is smirking.

Leo (July 23 - Aug 22)

Connections are everything, Leo, and as Mercury enters Gemini and your friendship sector on the 11th, you finally get back into the social groove. No one’s better than you at being the connective tissue of so many meet cutes and exciting collaborations. But being the life of the party can be a heavy responsibility and as you put yourself out there, make sure you’re not spending too much time with people who drain your energy.

This week’s mantra: “Protection.”

Cheeky illustration with a light blue background of a woman wearing a coral shirt coyly poking out from behind her hands.

Virgo (August 23 - September 23)

You’re the center of attention this week, Virgo. Compliments from your boss, recognition from your team and a sense of owning your leadership decisions all make this week feel very important. Despite the confidence boost, you’re still having difficulties with negotiating a contract or arguing with your partner. Rather than rushing to figure it out, it’s better to sit in the discomfort just a bit longer to find a satisfying agreement.

This week’s mantra: “Deal.”

680x400 Libra@2x

Libra (September 23 - October 21)

It’s time to get into research mode, Libra! Whether you’re planning a big trip, looking into grad school programs or digging into your family tree, you find joy through geeking out this week. Though you may feel frustrated when the answers don’t come as quickly as your agile mind is working, the longer you wait it out, the more buried treasure you’ll find.

This week’s mantra: “Dig.”

680x400 Scorpio@2x

Scorpio (October 22 - November 21)

It’s time to turn in that resignation letter, Scorpio. You’re loyal-to-a-fault and hate to be perceived as “giving up” on something (or someone), but it’s time to leave and seek something more aligned. This isn’t the time to forgo your values just to keep the peace. Your courage to do what’s best for you might even inspire a friend or coworker to do the same.

This week’s mantra: “Own.”

Cheeky illustration of a Black woman with purple hair on an orange background. She's in a wearing jean jacket, with a quiver strapped across her back and arrows sticking out.

Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)

The planning stage is over, Sagittarius. The U-Haul is packed and you’re actually moving in with your partner this week! It’s nerve-wracking to be at the start of such a life-changing commitment, but you’ll never know how things are going to work out if you don’t try. Don’t let the arguments over little things like couch placement or closet space deflate your optimism. Working through those tough bits now will make things easier in the future.

This week’s mantra: “Compose!”

A cheeky image of a woman of color with dark hair holding a pink goat by the horns. The background is pink and her shirt is darker pink.

Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)

You’re so excited about your new fitness plan but if you go too hard too quickly, you might derail the entire thing. You’ve waited a long time to have this much control over your daily routine but discipline doesn’t develop overnight. Starting slow allows you to work through the problems so that you can continue for months and years to come.

This week’s mantra: “Gentle.”

Cheeky image of a Black woman with blue hair on a light blue background. She's holding blue water in her palms, which is bubbling up and taking shape as her hair.

Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)

You’re inspired to write this week, Aquarius. Love letters. Poetry. A storybook for your kids. You’re also more inclined to flirt, express yourself and ask for what you want. Though you might feel some twinges of self-doubt (especially around the 15th) when it comes to dating, this is a very cute week to put yourself out there. A great connection comes your way on the 17th if you’re willing to put your hat in the ring and try.

This week’s mantra: “Create.”

Cheeky illustration of a gender-fluid white person with short-cropped orange hair. They're wearing a light blue halter top as two bright pink koi fish circle their head.

Pisces (February 19 - March 20)

You’re a busy little bee around the house this week, Pisces. Whether you’re tidying up before family visits, packing for a move or preparing for the subletter, don’t run yourself ragged trying to make everything perfect. Pay attention to the literal and metaphorical doorways. What’s an entrance and what’s an exit? How can you make this into a more gentle landing?

This week’s mantra: “Arrive.”
